About the role

Overview Account Technology Strategist (ATS) is Microsoft's trusted technology advisor to strategic enterprise customers, helping them define and execute their digital, cloud, AI, and security transformation strategy. The ATS builds relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders to understand their priorities and create technology roadmaps aligned to business outcomes. They identify new opportunities, shape complex transformation initiatives, and drive adoption of Microsoft solutions across the customer organization. The ATS orchestrates Microsoft specialists, partners, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful projects and measurable business value. Success is measured by executive influence, customer transformation outcomes, pipeline creation, and growth in cloud, AI, and security adoption.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities1. Executive Relationship DevelopmentBuild trusted advisor relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, and business executives. Co-own senior stakeholder engagement strategy with the Account Executive. Influence technology direction and transformation priorities. Establish Microsoft as a strategic partner rather than a solution provider.  2. Business & Enterprise Architecture LeadershipUnderstand customer business strategy and industry trends. Translate business priorities into technology and enterprise architecture roadmaps. Identify modernization opportunities across applications, infrastructure, data, security, and AI. Ensure initiatives align across People, Process, and Technology dimensions.   3. Technology Strategy & Transformation RoadmapsCreate and maintain a 3-Horizon transformation roadmap. Identify whitespace opportunities and future growth areas. Shape strategic initiatives such as:Cloud migration Data & AI transformation Security transformation Business process re-invention Industry-specific modernization programs

4. Technical Sales LeadershipLead the technology strategy across major pursuits. Act as the technical lead across Azure, Copilot, Data & AI, Security, Business Applications, and Industry solutions. Drive competitive strategy and differentiation. Translate Microsoft technologies into business outcomes. 5. Orchestration Across MicrosoftCoordinate specialists, CSA, CSU, GTM teams, industry advisors, partners, and executives. Ensure alignment from envisioning through deployment and value realization. Remove blockers and accelerate deal progression.  6. Strategic Pipeline & Consumption GrowthGenerate and accelerate strategic opportunities. Expand Microsoft TAM within assigned accounts. Drive Azure consumption, Copilot adoption, Security growth, and AI transformation initiatives. Align technical strategy with revenue and consumption outcomes

Qualifications Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years of experience in enterprise technology, consulting, solution architecture, cloud, security, data & AI, or digital transformation. Proven experience working with enterprise or strategic accounts. Experience engaging with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, and senior business stakeholders. Experience developing technology roadmaps and transformation strategies. Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex technology initiatives. Technical ExpertiseStrong understanding of one or more of the following areas: Cloud platforms and modernization AI and Generative AI transformation Data and Analytics platforms Cybersecurity and Zero Trust Infrastructure and application modernization Enterprise Architecture Digital transformation and business process innovation Ability to connect technology strategy with measurable business outcomes.  Executive Engagement SkillsAbility to build trusted advisor relationships with senior technology and business leaders. Strong executive communication and presentation skills. Ability to facilitate strategic conversations around business transformation. Experience influencing customer technology strategy and investment priorities.   Strategic ThinkingAbility to understand customer business objectives, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Experience developing multi-year technology transformation roadmaps. Ability to identify new growth opportunities and technology whitespace. Strong business acumen and customer outcome orientation.   Leadership & OrchestrationAbility to lead virtual teams across sales, technical, customer success, and partner organizations. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Experience driving large-scale, multi-stakeholder transformation programs. Ability to influence without direct authority.   Sales & Commercial AcumenUnderstanding of enterprise sales processes and strategic account planning. Ability to shape opportunities and accelerate complex deals. Experience driving cloud consumption, platform adoption, and business growth. Ability to align technical strategy with commercial and customer success outcomes
